Lane Garage is developed by an independent developer. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the app, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and username, collected at registration for authentication purposes.
• User content: Model car photos, community posts, comments, and garage collection data that you choose to upload.
• Usage data: Point transaction history, likes, follows, and other interactions used to operate the points system and community features.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the core features of the app (Garage, Encyclopedia, Community)
• To operate the points system and Points Shop
• To send account-related notifications (e.g. password reset)

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Community Content and Visibility

Anything you choose to share in the Community section — including posts, comments, photos, and your username — is public and visible to other users of the app. Please don't include sensitive personal information in public posts or comments.

If you encounter content or behavior that violates our guidelines, or you wish to report abuse or an abusive user, please contact us at the email in Section 11 and we will review it and take appropriate action, including content removal or account suspension.

4. Data Storage

All user data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the United States. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.

5. Camera and Photo Library Access

The app requests camera or photo library access only when you actively use the photo upload feature. Photos are used solely to upload to your personal collection or community posts and are not accessed without your permission.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your own posts at any time from within the app. To request full account and data deletion, please contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.

8. Your Privacy Rights (California and Other Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you certain rights over your personal information. We extend these same rights to all users, wherever you live:

• Right to Know: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you (see Section 1).
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (see Section 7).
• Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Not applicable — we don't sell or share personal information with third parties for money or other value, and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you service, charge you differently, or otherwise discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 11. We may ask you to verify your identity (e.g. by confirming your account email) before completing a request, and you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

9. Children

Lane Garage is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify users within the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
